Privacy Policy

This website, ljprecords.ca, is operated by LJP Records Inc., an Ontario corporation (Ontario Corporation Number 1001399729) based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect through the site, why, and what we do with it.
The short version
- No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, and no advertising or tracking tools.
- The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us by email or through our contact form.
- We use it to reply to you, and we never sell it.
Information you send us
If you use the contact form, we collect:
- your name and email address;
- your artist or project name, what best describes you (artist, producer, etc.), links to your music, and your message, if you provide them;
- your consent to this policy, and whether you ticked the optional box to receive news.
If you email us at management@ljprecords.ca, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and to consider your music, project or business enquiry.
- To send occasional news from LJP Records and Elsewhere Audio, but only if you ticked that box. Every news email will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing us at any time.
We don't use your information for anything else without asking you first.
How the form works
The contact form is delivered by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service. When you press "Send message," your entries are sent to Web3Forms, which forwards them to our email inbox. Web3Forms processes your submission for that purpose under its own Privacy Policy. Web3Forms and our email provider may store or process data outside Canada, where local laws may give authorities access to it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to reply and to follow up on any project we discuss, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we're working together. News subscribers are kept on our list until they unsubscribe.
Sharing
We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run this site and our email (described above), or when the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to news emails, at any time. Email management@ljprecords.ca and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Cookies, analytics and other services
This site doesn't set cookies or use analytics. It's hosted on GitHub Pages, and like any web host, GitHub may process technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site securely (see GitHub's Privacy Statement).
Spotify players on our artist pages load only when you click "Load Spotify player." After that, Spotify's Privacy Policy applies to that player. Links to other sites, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram and YouTube, are governed by those sites' own policies.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
